Here you'll find some of the most popular questions I get asked

If you don't see your question or answer here, please get in touch using the Contact page, I'm always happy to answer any questions.

Your time is valuable, without a travel agent, you can find yourself endlessly trawling through the myriad of online booking sites and sometimes the amount of choice can be overwhelming; is this the best option, the best price, the best value for money for me / us?

Looking through the detail of every room on offer, checking if it has everything you need, or if the hotel is right for you.
How many times have you picked a hotel based on what has been advertised only to find it doesn' match the description or have the facilities you were expecting when you get there? Or the pool is closed for refurbishment, the hotel is in an inconvenient location, the sea view you thought you were getting is mostly of another hotel in front of the sea view and so on.

Possibly you end up watching reels and videos, reading reviews and trying to figure out which ones are real!

It is easy to underestimate how long booking everything associated with your holiday takes, not just arranging the transfers, flights, accommodation and activities etc. but any and all additional requirements, such as mobility and accessibility needs, sensory or executive function support, dietary, sobriety, or medical needs.

With me as your travel agent I take care of all those details and questions and some you may not even have considered, but will make your trip just that much easier and better. I use my expertise, experience and global network to work with you to find your perfect holiday. Freeing your time to spend on other things with the reassurance that your holiday will be put together perfectly.

Whether you are a regular traveller, wanting to take your family on one big holiday for the year, planning a 'once in a lifetime trip' for; your engagement, a destination wedding, a honeymoon, a special birthday or anniversary, a cultural festival, a wellness retreat (yes, I can help with all of those).
Whatever the reason, the holiday has to be amazing.
So why not let me, a real person, work with you to design your holiday, get you the very best deals and make sure it absolutely is amazing?

There is no charge or cost to you when you use me as your travel agent.
Everything I earn comes from supplier commissions and none of my costs are passed onto you. I have direct access to over 500 suppliers and their exclusive offers, many of which are not advertised directly to customers.
These are some fantastic deals that can only be booked through me, which means you get all the benefits of a personal travel agent and you still pay the best price.

Lastly, you can be reassured that I am dedicated to continue expanding my knowledge on destinations, specialist hotels and other accommodations, flight providers, airports, cruises etc. I regularly attend webinars, in person supplier meets, conferences, I read trade travel press, train for and obtain travel badges and certificates. I've built and maintain a strong network with other travel agents and travel trade organisations, all to keep my skills up to date and be able to offer you the most phenominal holiday.

I make a huge effort speaking to my suppliers to ensure that my clients are always well taken care of wherever they stay, I like to call it the Rock Star Welcome.

I can also offer you additional perks that you might not receive booking yourself and I can also let you know about perks you should recieve for example with Disney or Cruise bookings.

No. Whilst the majority of my clients are from the UK. I do also work with clients from all around the world.

The time it takes to put a holiday together varies massively, depending on how complex the itinerary is, how many suppliers I need to contact, variety of transport required within the holiday, activities you would like booked, such as: restaurants, theatre shows, dive trips etc. I work with you to get the perfect holiday in place, so there many also be a couple of revisions. I like to get 3 quotes to my clients within 7 to 10 days, this can be sooner if it's an urgent or last-minute holiday.

I am always happy to chat through holiday ideas that you have and can advise on the right time to book them.
Some holidays are best booked well in advance, if they are to popular places at key times of the year, for example Sakura (cherry blossom) season in Japan or an Antarctica cruise to see the penguin chicks, these are best booked at least a year in advance. Also trips during school holiday periods, due to the limitations on accommodation or tour availability.
For multi-generational holidays, these are also best booked a year in advance too, again due to availability, but often also to allow for time for decisions and agreements from all the adults around the accommodation and details of the trip.

Of course you can, but do you and should you trust it?
AI can suggest an itinerary, but remember to fact check it first! AI does not know or get to know you or your families needs, it cannot book for you, it cannot apply agent only pricing, or find you the best room for you.
It cannot handle the complexity of a Disney booking, cruise booking, or multi-generational holiday and it certainly cannot help you if anything goes wrong with your booking, such as re-schedulling a flight, a transfer or changing your hotel if something is drastically wrong with it. It can't give you the peace of mind of knowing you have a real person taking care of all the details, that genuinely cares you are well looked after and have an amazing trip. There for you, not just for the booking but all the time you are away too.
Lastly it just doesn't have access to the wealth of information, offers and deals that are only available through a travel agent and not published to open websites.

I receive commission from the accommodation, cruise or activity supplier, once you have completed your stay or activity. because of this, I would please ask you be considerate of my time. Things like price matching another travel agent is not something I like to do, as they will have spent a significant amount of time themselves planning your holiday.
This commission is from the supplier themselves, not from the cost of your booking, so no fees are passed to you.

I accept payment by bank transfer or via credit cards and just like any other holiday booking you put down a deposit to secure your holiday.
You can also choose to pay in full, or I can arrange a payment plan if you wish to spread the cost of your holiday over a longer period.

No money comes directly to me. All payments are sent to and held by PTS (Payment Trust Services), who will sent it directly to the supplier I book your holiday with. You can find further information about PTS and how your money is protected here. You holiday will also be ATOL protected through the supplier that we use to book your holiday. Your ATOL certificate will be sent to you once you book your holiday with me.

One of the biggest advantages of using a Travel Agent is that you have my support 24/7 when you travel.

Given the uncertain world we live in now, and the unpredictability of travel with the possibility of flights getting cancelled, missed connections, bad weather re-routing cruises etc., you get the peace of mind of knowing there will be someone there, with the right knowledge and contacts to sort out any transport, travel or hotel problems. You won' have to spend hours trying to get through to a supplier when every other traveller booked with them is trying to get through as well.

You contact me, and I sort it all out for you, a real person with direct access to your suppliers and the right contacts.
My job doesn't end after you book. I will be there to make sure your trip is as easy and relaxed as possible.
